Event Update

 

The sun shone and 60 golfers assembled at Longcliffe Golf Club for the annual Loughborough Beacon Rotary Charity Golf Day.

The course was superb and the food afterwards excellent so thanks to Michael Bunney (Head of Greenstaff) and Paul Price (PPP Catering).

Thanks to all the volunteers for running the day and to the 11 Amazon volunteers for a great job in ball spotting after all their help with setting up.

Thanks to Fiona and Beth Johnson for Registration duties and scoring.

 

Team Prizes

The Trophy Winners with 91 points were Jonathan Carlisle, James Carlisle, Darryl Wilson and Dan Walker.

The Best Mens Team with 90 points was the Hammer and Pincers - Danny Jimminson, Andy Loversuch, Oliver Loversuch and Dan Mews.

The Best Ladies Team with 69 points was Alison Seddon, Liz Knight, Angela Austin and Jane James.

The Best Mixed Team (2 + 2) with 83 points was The Ladies Captain's Team - Amanda Morgan, Robert Morgan, Sandra Roberts and Nick Roberts.

The Best 3 + 1 Team  with 84 points was Konig UK - Matt Plant, Richard Iles, Alicia Iles and Lewis Peacock.

Par 3 Challenge

The Par 3 Challenge on Hole 15 raised £250 to be allocated to Marie Curie.

 

The Auction and Raffle

The Auction raised £2940 and sincere thanks to all the providers of Auction lots and to all the bidders. The raffle and halfway house donations raised £513 with thanks to ARC Financial Ltd (Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne) for sponsoring.

 

A great day out raising £4575 for projects and charities supported by Rotary.
